XCOM
Posted on 21st Oct 2012 2:39 AM by Jenny (0 comments)
If you haven't tried the new XCOM: Enemy Unknown, then you're really missing out! It's a worthy successor to the old game, and that's not a statement I make lightly.

Of course, like every new game, there are some kinks to work out, but I'm confident a few patches will handle that.
Times, they're a-changin'

Have a look at both my old and new EVE online characters. CCP's new character designer is simply amazing!
Jagged Alliance

So, I started playing Jagged Alliance 2 again some time ago. Naturally, with the 1.13 patch to make things more fun/realistic. I installed some mods that added EVEN MORE items, like AIMNAS. This made the game very complex indeed, and there was little to no reference that I could find. Which is a really bad thing if you are obsessed with every detail, like I am.

So, I decided to make my own reference. It took me about a week of work, but I'm finally ready to release the first version. Have a look!

For those of you interested in starting out with 1.13, you might be a little confused as where to start out. First of all, you'll have to get Jagged Alliance 2. It's on steam, but that version was bugged last I tried it. I personally use the GoG.com version and I'm quite pleased with it.

Once you have installed the game, you'll ideally want to use an SCI (Single Click Installer) to get your game up and running. One of the best references on the net on 1.13 and modding can be found over at the Bear's Pit Forums. I personally recommend installing Tais' SCI - you can find it here. All that's left now is the (optional) AIMNAS mod which adds a ton more items and features to the already-rich 1.13 patch. You can usually find the latest version by clicking here..

If you need advice (and you will, as a new player), then I would suggest heading over to IRC and visiting #bearpit on Quakenet. I've personally found them to be very helpful and friendly.

Happy hunting!
SC2 Minigame

So I was bored and decided to make a small minigame to help myself recognize enemy buildings easily.

Have a look!
Site Update
Posted on 22nd Jul 2010 3:45 AM by Jenny (0 comments)
So I took some time out to update the projects page. I like to think it looks a lot niftier now! Have a look.

In addition, I've added a couple of projects that might interest you - a Dawn of War 2 page, and an Alien Swarm page.

Alien Swarm is pretty damn awesome, by the way. It's free, so if you haven't, you should really be playing it. Wildcat is my favorite character by far.

So a while ago I started mapping again. To be quite honest, it's my first _real_ attempt at mapping in a couple of years. So far, it's coming along nicely. It's taking up huge chunks of my time, but I'm enjoying myself.

I'll post some pictures as soon as I have something decent to put up.
Jagged Alliance 2

If you've never played JA2, you really should. I bought it on steam about a year ago, but apparently that version is rather bugged, and I never got it to work.

A few weeks ago, I saw it on GoG and decided to pick it up. A decision I most certainly did not regret! One of the best tactical squad games I've ever played, only X-com is better.
Update Time

All is quiet on the Jennanian front, it seems. Got bored with Aion about a week after it came out - I'm back to WoW for the time being.

As for the site, I have a few surprises in store! Check back soon!

More editor goodness

After a few long nights of programming, XcomEd now fully supports both X-com and TFTD. You can edit bases, soldiers, weapons, aliens, crafts and armor completely.

Better quickly take a look!
