| Just stopping by to say what an incredible editor you produced for the X-Com game. You've saved me the hassle of having to fire all my soldiers because their Psi Strength wasn't high enough, especially since the one with the lowest Psi Ability was the COMMANDER! Not only that but you let me customize my soldiers so I don't have to randomly wait and pray that I will get a good batch. Really, really wonderful job! Thank you for this! | ||

| Hi, firstly you've made a great editor. I do have problem with editing buy/sell prices. Changes do not seem to work in game, whereas the editor always sees edited stats. Isn't it supposed to edit purchase.dat in savegame folder? Just wondering because that file is not being changed... | ||

| Thank you for the xcom editor! It worked great and saved me from the headaches of the other editors that wouldn't work with 64 bit Windows. | ||

| YES, I finally found my way back to your site again. Now I just need to re-install UFO and DOSbox as well. My c-drive broke down a few months back, and couldn't be saved :/ This, along with Xcomutil, gives UFO a whole new dimension to me. | ||

| Your site keeps getting better and better! Your older articles are not as good as newer ones you have a lot more creativity and originality now keep it up! | ||

| To answer your question, yes, I really made the editor all by myself. Is that so surprising? :P And BlackAce, Ive heard of GarageGames's project, but I personally prefer frameworks like Ogre3D. I simply lack the time to put something together properly. As for System Shock 2, it's one of my favorite fps/rpg hybrids (the other is Morrowind). Arma 2 isn't really my cup of tea, too realistic. | ||
| Ian | 02 December 2009 - 16:19:16 | |
| Fantastic editor, is it really something you put together? | ||
| Blackace | 27 November 2009 - 10:58:58 | |
| Great work with the X-Com editor, btw there is a new X-Com game on the horizon, officialy an official X-Com. On the other hand make sure that you see these three; 1) www.garagegames.com (if you ever dreamed of creating your own interpretation of X-Com) 2) System Shock 2 (an old game where u can take over a lost spaceship by hacking) 3) Arma 2 (a combat simulator, but in fact its "the matrix" where you can dwell inside) And btw, yes you're beautifull too, how come?! Best regards, | ||

| Love the editor, been looking for something like this for a while and didn't know it was out there. Unfortunately, I'm experience some trouble getting it to work XcomUtil. Are your X-Com broadcasts stored somewhere or would I have to be online while you're playing? | ||
| MARIO | 08 September 2009 - 06:41:56 | |
| I JUST DOWNLOADED THE EDITOR, BUT CAN'T MAKE IT WORK, DO THE FILES HAVE TO GO IN SOME DIRECTORY? OR DO I JUST DROP THEM IN THE ROOT DIRECTORY OF THE GAME? | ||

| Nice simple decoder puzzle; except it doesn't (on purpose?) check if a character already has been used. I had one decoded letter which represented two letters. Imagine the confusion on my end. :| Take care. | ||

| Sup saw this shit on msn and ... well here I am. Also I feel that "Nihilists! Fuck me. I mean, say what you like about the tenets of National Socialism, Dude, at least it's an ethos." is a best quote ever, just thought you should know. | ||

| Nice Xcom save editor. I got back into the game a few weeks ago and was missing the "original" version where you could get insane stats (and then lose them when they rolled over the top hehe) Anyway, nice work on the editor, worked no probs on vista (w95 compat mode) | ||

| I like the anagram generator. However with a seven character limit it will not allow me to cheat on the task of creating an anagram for my full name. I have played X-com and enjoyed it so I like the fact that, presumably, you created the editor to play with the game. | ||

| Just passing through in my quest for a good JPEG-to-ASCII program that runs from the command line on Linux. Sad to say, nothing found here. Anyway, just felt like leaving a little message in the guestbook. By the way, in case those modeling/texturing skills aren't too rusty Sauerbraten (sauerbraten.org) is always looking for people to help out. It's a Quake-like FPS, and it's a really awesome game. | ||
